Suffolk police say they?ve caught the man who killed a Mastic woman in her home last week.
Laura Pizzini was found stabbed to death in her apartment on Oct. 16.
Pizzini?s ex-boyfriend, 42-year-old Guenter Wende, of Mastic, was arrested Tuesday. Officials say the two dated briefly over the summer until she ended the relationship.
According to police, Wende tried to win her back by showing up at her workplace and home. Last Wednesday, they say Wende snapped and went to Pizzini?s apartment with a knife.
Wende is charged with second-degree murder and was remanded without bail.
