A former altar boy from Amityville will be arraigned Thursday for allegedly stealing from the church he used to serve at.Police say Matthew Belcher stole from the poor boxes at St. Mary's Chuch in East Islip three times in May. They say he knew where to find the boxes since he used to be an altar boy at the church.Officials say surveillance video shows Belcher entering the church on the three occasions and making off with the contents of the boxes. If convicted, Belcher faces up to a year behind bars.
