Today is Equal Pay Day – a time to consider the substantial wage gap between men and women.
According to the National Partnership for Women & Families, women earn 80 cents for every dollar a man makes.
During a 40-year career, a woman is paid nearly $407,000 less than a man, according to the National Women's Law Center.
It means a woman would have to work another 9.7 years to earn the same amount.
