A 7-year-old on Long Island has organized a bone marrow drive as her police officer father battles leukemia.

Dean Monaco, an NYPD officer assigned to the North Task Force in Flushing, was diagnosed with leukemia last August. Monaco has been hospitalized several times and suffered a relapse a few weeks ago.

Emily Monaco convinced her principal to hold the drive this Saturday at Riverhead Charter School in Calverton.

Donors looking to get involved can stop by the school from 1-4 p.m.
