This Sunday is a special day for the Long Island Ducks at Bethpage Park in Central Islip. It's News 12 Long Island Day!
Each year in August, the Ducks host News 12 Long Island and one reporter or anchor gets their very own bobble head. This year, the honor goes to traffic and entertainment reporter Elisa DiStefano.
In addition to her own bobble head, DiStefano gets to throw out the first pitch of the game, which is versus York. To prepare for her pitching debut, DiStefano enlisted help from fellow News 12 Long Island softball players as well as Ducks mascot Quacker Jack.
The game starts at 5:05pm and DiStefano will be signing autographs beforehand. Only the first 1,500 fans will get a DiStefano bobble head, so come early. And after the game kids can run the bases on the field.
