Police: 15-year-old boy tried to rob 2 children in Roosevelt with weapon

Police say the victims, 10 and 13 years old, were approached near Frederick Avenue and Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt on Thursday.

Police say a 15-year-old flashed what appeared to be a gun and tried to rob two children in Nassau County.
The victims, 10 and 13 years old, were approached near Frederick Avenue and Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt on Thursday, according to police.
Police are not releasing the suspect’s name because of his age.
However, they tell News 12 he also hit the 10-year-old several times.
The boy was not hurt.
