A special Mass took place in Amityville this afternoon to celebrate a nun's 110th birthday!

Sister Francis Dominici Piscatella, of East Williston, is now officially the oldest nun in the country.

Piscatella has been with the Amityville Dominicans for over 90 years – which is more than half of congregation's 170 years of history.

Despite losing a forearm at age two, adversity never stops her from helping and inspiring others.

She had also taught in many local schools and Molloy University, before retiring at 84 years old.
