East Meadow man accused of impersonating an officer during dispute

Police say Joseph Nesto got involved in a dispute with a neighbor around 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Second Street in East Meadow.

An East Meadow man is under arrest and accused of impersonating a police officer.
Police say Joseph Nesto got involved in a dispute with a neighbor around 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Second Street in East Meadow.
Detectives say the 71-year-old said he was a police officer then lifted his shirt and displayed a handgun in his waistband.
They say the 35-year-old victim asked Nesto to show identification, then Nesto left, and the man called 911.
Nesto will be arraigned on menacing and criminal impersonation charges.
