In Riverhead, there were concerns about possible flooding downtown along the Peconic River. The area is prone to flooding during strong storms.
And the Town of Southampton is urging residents to make sure they have batteries and water should there be power outages.  They are also urged to have gas for generators. Generators and grills should only be used outdoors.
