East End hit with whipping winds, preparing for possible cleanup

The East End could was ready for potential storm damage and flooding from Monday's high winds and rain.
East End communities have seen off-and-on conditions when it comes to the wind -- where it is powerful at times, then calm for a bit afterward. 
Suffolk faced a high wind warning for a large portion of the day Monday.
News 12 visited the Shinnecock Inlet at around 4 p.m., where winds were fierce and waves were seen crashing into the shore.
Southampton Town Emergency Manager Ryan Murphy said those winds causing power problems and coastal erosion were among his primary concerns. Murphy says due to the direction of the storm, the area could face 24-36 hours of high winds.
