Early voting will be wrapping up in New York state Sunday.
Polls will be closed Monday and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
According to the Nassau Board of Elections, nearly 218,000 county residents cast their ballots during the first eight days of early voting.
The board says 47% were registered Democrats, 29% were registered Republicans and 20% had no party affiliation.
Political consultant Mike Dawidziak says he predicts there will be fewer people going to vote on Election Day and things will go smoothly. He also says due to the large amount of absentee ballots, we may not know who the next president will be Tuesday.
Results should start coming in shortly after the polls close at 9 p.m. Tuesday. The polls will be closed Monday and reopen 6 a.m. on Nov. 3.
