Two men, one dressed as a FedEx driver, gave a Lynbrook woman an especially frightening delivery Wednesday during a home invasion.
According to police, a man wearing a FedEx uniform rang the doorbell of a Lynbrook Avenue home and claimed to be delivering an envelope. Police say the false delivery man and an armed accomplice forced their way into the house. They say the men handcuffed the victim in a closet and stole jewelry and money. The woman did not sustain any serious injuries.
Neighbors and police say they are very worried about a similar incident occurring again due to the convincing nature of the duo's delivery scheme. Police state there have not been any other similar incidents reported yet.
