It is the biggest travel day of the year and about 90 percent of people drive to their holiday destination, according to AAA.

Officials are urging those driving to take it slow on the roads and be careful.

Earlier this morning on the Long Island Expressway eastbound there was a lot of water in the roadway.

Motorists tell News 12 they are concerned about traveling today and the possibility of downed trees.

LIPA Is currently reporting about 4,000 outages due to the weather.
