Dozens of bus drivers in Suffolk will be without jobs this holiday season due to cuts by a popular casino bus company.
Harran Transportation, based in West Babylon, is going out of business effective immediately. Some 50 bus drivers received pink slips from the company's management. One worker says the drivers are upset and frustrated because there is no reason for the company to shut down. The 88-year-old bus company's closing means the end of the line for thousands of Long Islanders who used the service to get to Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun.
News 12 Long Island contacted Harran management about the situation but they did not want to comment at this time.
