A man was hurt after crashing into a pole in Copiague Wednesday afternoon.

The driver lost control of the vehicle on Baylawn Avenue around 4 p.m., according to Suffolk police.

The car snapped a utility pole before flipping over on a front lawn.

The Copiague Fire Department tells News 12 the driver was lucky to walk away with minor cuts and bruises.

The top half of the utility pole was hanging by wires and the car suffered significant damage.
