The Dream and Lead Academy's 2013 Teen Leadership/Entrepreneur Summer Program in Dix Hills is teaching students to become business owners.

Long Island teens are getting a head start on their careers by learning to create their own businesses. Tori Harris, 13, has made thousands of cupcakes for her business, J'adore Café De La Tori. She has catered a number of parties and even weddings.

Students learn to design business plans and assist each other by playing marketing consultants when putting together a company name.

The next session begins July 22 and runs through Aug. 2.
