A Suffolk Emergency Service unit rescued a dog in Kings Park after it fell into an abandoned cesspool.
The incident occurred Tuesday night behind Superior Ice Rink.
News 12 Long Island was told that Poofa, a 6-year-old golden doodle, saw a squirrel and got off his leash before falling into the cesspool.
It took two members of the emergency service unit nearly an hour to hoist Poofa to safety.
