A West Babylon man was arrested for killing his father in their home Friday, detectives say.
Officers responded to 36 Philips Walk around 1 p.m. after receiving a call from a woman who stated that her son strangled her husband.
They responded and found Robert Taylor, 64, dead.
Homicide Squad detectives arrested his son, James Taylor, at the scene and charged him with second degree murder.
James Taylor, 34, will be held overnight at the Third Precinct. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
