Three police officers were hospitalized Thursday when a Uniondale woman swung a shower rod at them, detectives say.

News 12 is told officers found Lourdje Elien exposing herself and screaming inside her Park Place home at around 3 a.m.

Elien resisted arrest by swinging the shower rod as a weapon at the officers.

News 12 is also told the officers located three children inside the home who appeared lethargic. They were also taken to the hospital along with the officers and Elien.
