Detectives say $2,500 was stolen outside a Hewlett bank Friday.
Officials say a man had taken the money out from the TD Bank on Harris Avenue at around 1:45 p.m.
News 12 is told another man knocked on the victim's car window, saying he dropped money.
When the victim got out to check, a second man took the cash that wa sitting in the car.
The two suspects then fled.
