A blood sample was at the center of testimony Monday in the fatal wedding limo crash trial. Martin Heidgen is accused of killing two while allegedly driving drunk and the wrong way on the Meadowbrook Parkway last July. His blood sample, taken on the morning of the crash, shows his blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit. Heidgen's attorney, however, says his blood sample was not handled properly and may have been botched. One officer did admit Monday that proper procedure wasn't followed at times. But another officer said the sample and the chain of custody were intact at all times.
