A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death Friday evening in East Flatbush, leaving his family and neighbors devastated.
Christopher Davey's father says his son was walking to a laundromat when he was stabbed twice in the torso outside 882 Albany Ave. shortly before 5:30 p.m. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he later died.
Christopher’s father, Michael Davey, told News 12 by phone that he knew something was wrong when Christopher’s mother called him crying.
“She was crying and she was saying, ‘My God, they killed Chris,’” Davey recalled. “And then I hear in the background crying and screaming.”
Davey says his son loved to cook and dreamed of opening a restaurant.
Investigators are searching for two men who fled northbound on Albany Avenue in a car following the stabbing. Police said one suspect was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. A description of the second man was not immediately available.
No arrests have been made, and a motive remains unclear. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
