Hundreds came to Oyster Bay for the Empire State Ride on Long Island.
The bike ride raises money for cancer research and care at Catholic Health Service of Long Island and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Riders like Steve Mars, of Plainview, say cancer affects everybody.
“There’s so much progress and more work to be done,” Mars says.
