The pressure of last-minute holiday shopping was on full display Tuesday night at Roosevelt Field Mall.
Several shoppers admitted they were cutting it close this year, opting to shop in person rather than online to avoid shipping delays.
One shopper said they realized they were missing a gift and made a quick trip inside to see what was available. Another said he came prepared with a plan, knowing exactly what he needed to buy, but still ran into challenges outside the stores.
“The mall was ridiculously packed,” he said, adding it took about a half-hour just to find parking.
Not everyone at the mall was scrambling. One couple said they finished their holiday shopping months ago and were now enjoying a stress-free lead-up to the holidays.
