Two people have been hospitalized after a crash in Centereach on Wednesday afternoon.

Kim Marie Lopez-Coccia, 19, of Mastic, was driving a Hyundai Sonata on Middle Country Road around 1 p.m., according to Suffolk police.

The teen struck a Honda CRV, driven by Ronald Goldman, 70, of Centereach, as he was making a left turn onto North Washington Avenue, detectives say.

Lopez-Coccia was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for serious injuries.

Goldman was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Middle Country Road was closed for about four hours during the investigation.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
