The parking lots at Jones Beach were quickly filled to capacity and were closed to additional cars Saturday as massive crowds turned out for the first day of the Bethpage Air Show.
The sunny skies and warm temps sent droves of people to the beach. About 192,000 people turned out for the annual event, parks officials say.
The show runs again Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and people are being urged to get there early to avoid missing out. Park officials tell News 12 that Sunday tends to be the more popular day to go.
News 12's Erin Colton also soared with the Blue Angels on Saturday. She had planned on doing a flight on Friday, but it was scrapped due to a mechanical failure.
