One of the suspects in the Babylon body parts case pleaded guilty Tuesday to five felony charges, according to officials.
Officials say Amanda Wallace admitted to charges of concealment of a corpse and hindering a prosecution in connection to the deaths of Malcolm Craig Brown and Donna Connelly.
The victims’ remains were found scattered across Long Island in March.
Jeffrey Mackey and Alexis Nieves are charged with their murders. Another man, Stephen Brown, is accused of helping commit the murders. They have all pleaded not guilty.
A spokesperson for the Suffolk County district attorney tells News 12 Wallace stated in open court that her housemates, Jeffrey Mackey and Alexis Nieves, killed Donna Conneely, after Mackey stabbed and killed Malcolm Craig Brown.
The murders allegedly happened inside a home on Railroad Avenue in Amityville.
A DA spokesperson says Wallace admitted to helping her housemates clean up the scene and dispose of the body parts.
Wallace’s defense attorney Keith O'Halloran wrote in a statement to News 12, “Since her arrest, Ms. Wallace maintained that she was not complicit in the murder. The DA's investigation and indictment confirmed that. She has taken responsibility for the actions she did take part in, and she is looking forward to bettering herself.”
