BRIEFING NOTES:
- Bellone says 179 people were hospitalized for COVID-19, which is the lowest number since the third week in March.
- He says eight people have died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,931.
- Bellone says there are 51 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, and there are 50 people in ICU due to COVID-19.
- He says out of 3,037 hospital beds in Suffolk, 1,079 beds are free. Bellone also says 30 people have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours.
- He says 8,000 supplies have been delivered to hospitals in the last 24 hours, and that the state gave the county a shipment of hand sanitizer.
