County Executive Bellone pushes for tougher boating laws in Suffolk

There is a new push for tougher boating laws in Suffolk County.
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and boating safety advocates are calling for the passage of "Brianna's Law."
It's named after a 12-year-old girl, who was killed in a boat crash on the Great South Bay in 2005.
Gina Lieneck, Brianna's mother, is calling on state lawmakers to pass the bill.
"This will help save so many lives," says Lieneck. "Everybody's lives matter more than money. Do not let money and greed win over saving a life."
The law would strengthen the requirements to operate mechanically propelled boats.
