A city corrections officer from Uniondale was arrested in an alleged road rage incident on the Southern State Parkway.
State police say Rashad Hinton and another driver got into an argument Saturday night near Exit 21 on the parkway. They say both exited their vehicles and engaged in a verbal argument stemming from a "lane-merging conflict" they had on the parkway.
Troopers say that's when Hinton reached toward his waistband, showing the other driver he was in possession of a gun, and also produced a badge.
They say he left the scene, but was found and arrested a short time later.
Hinton, 31, will face a judge later this month on a menacing charge.
