A Bethpage man was arrested for allegedly slashing two men during an argument outside of his home.
Police say 28-year-old Jeff Saint-Gerard was involved in a verbal dispute with the two victims in front of his Manchester Drive home Thursday evening. He allegedly attempted to hit the two male victims, ages 16 and 29, with his Volkswagen Jetta.
Detectives say Saint-Gerard then exited his vehicle and slashed the 29-year-old in his face, arm and chest. He then allegedly stabbed the 16-year-old victim in the chest.
Both victims were hospitalized in stable condition. Their identities weren't released.
Saint-Gerard was arrested at his home and police say the knife used in the stabbings was recovered at the scene.
He is being charged with two counts of first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. Saint-Gerard is due in court for arraignment on Saturday.
