Police are looking for more people involved in a chaotic chase that played out on the streets of Central Islip.
Police say two groups met for a drug deal at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Prospect Street at 12:30 p.m. yesterday before a chase and shootout ensued.
Police say the buyers tried to get away without paying and the dealers chased them.
Police caught 24-year-old Guillermo Quinones, of Hazelton, Pa., and 25-year-old Rene Barahona, of Arvene, N.Y.
Prosecutors say the men robbed the seller at gunpoint and took 3 pounds of marijuana. Quinones allegedly then sped away with the sellers chasing after them.
Police say the crash ended outside of a housing complex on Suffolk Avenue. Shots were fired there.
No one was hurt, but nearby Central Islip schools were put in lockdown for hours.
Quinones is facing first-degree robbery charges. Barahona is facing charges of robbery in the first degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
