Controversy is now swirling around a children's cartoon because of the unrest in America.
"Paw Patrol" features various dogs as first responders.
The character Chase is a police dog.
When the show put out a call for "black voices to be heard," critics pounced.
Some saw it as a call to cancel the cartoon.
Supporters of the show, including Sen. Ted Cruz and Eric Trump, blasted the negative comments as "truly insane."
