The Connecticut Lottery is expected to launch retail sports wagering today.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is set to take place at Sports Haven in New Haven at 600 Long Warf Drive at 2 p.m.
State and local leaders as well as lottery officials are expected to attend.
Gamblers 21 and older will be allowed to participate.
In the coming weeks, officials say bets will be able to be placed at several more locations across the state including at Bobby V's in Stamford.
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun started offering in-person sports betting last month.
Last week, online sports betting launched statewide.
