Rep. Tom Suozzi is now walking back his stance after defending his vote to fund the Department of Homeland Security last week.

The Glen Cove Congressman posted to social media saying he "failed to view the vote as a referendum on the illegal and immoral conduct of ICE in Minneapolis."

"I have long been critical of ICE's unlawful behavior and I must do a better job demonstrating that,” he continued.

Suozzi was one of seven Democrats who reached across the aisle to pass the spending package, along with Rockville Centre Congresswoman Laura Gillen.
