Police say a seventh-grade student brought a pellet gun to a Coney Island school Tuesday morning – prompting it to go into lockdown for nearly an hour.
Parents with kids inside Mark Twain 239 reached out to News 12 saying they were not immediately notified when the school went into lockdown.
The scene has been cleared and no injuries were reported. It was not immediately clear if the student was arrested.
