Suffolk Police Commissioner Tim Sini today touted the pushback against last year's rise in crime in Huntington Station.
Sini spoke at a news conference at the 2nd Precinct. The department says it increased its presence and arrested dozens of suspected gang members.
"Our general gang eradication strategy has been implemented in Huntington Station. To date, 87 gang members have been arrested in the affected areas," said Sini.
The commissioner said homicides, shootings, violent crimes and traffic accidents have declined.
