Connecticut lawmakers declined Tuesday to advance a proposal for the Connecticut to Long Island Bridge project.

The $50 billion plan would have connected Bridgeport to the Sunken Meadow State Parkway in New York.

The project has been discussed for decades, but lawmakers did not act on moving it forward on March 24.

The project developer is still hoping for another path ahead.
