Early showers for Wednesday ahead of dry and warm weather to end the workweek
News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says a few showers are in the forecast Wednesday before a great stretch of warm weather.

Hurricanes Idalia and Franklin stay away from Long Island but we do feel the effects along our South Shore. Idalia will likely make landfall early Wednesday morning in Florida just south of Tallahassee.
Skies clear Wednesday afternoon with sunshine and beautiful, warm weather through the holiday weekend.
BLUE MOON: The full blue supermoon is on Thursday. Moonrise is at 8:08 and visibility will be great.
