Here’s what you need to know:
- A FIRE WEATHER WARNING is in effect from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Very low humidity, strong winds and mild temperatures will enhance the risk of fires spreading rapidly through this evening.
- It’s clear and cool this morning with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.
- Today will be much cooler, sunny and windy. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. .
- It stays dry through most of the weekend with near seasonable temperatures in the 50s and 60s.
- Rain arrives after 7 p.m. on Sunday through 9 a.m. Monday. At least half an inch of rainfall is expected. This will be the first decent rain in over a month. There are more chances of rain by the end of next week, that looks to moderate rainfall. Stay tuned for updates.
- WATCHING THE TROPICS: There are two areas of interest in the Atlantic that have a chance of development in the next 7 days. Hurricane Rafael will continue to weaken in the Gulf of Mexico as it moves west. Large swells and life threatening rip currents are expected along the gulf coast in the next few days.
