A triple shooting on Memorial Day has left a Central Islip teen dead.Police say the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near the Central Islip Recreation Center on Clayton Street. According to police, hundreds of teens were gathered at the time for a barbecue. Police say there were teens drinking alcohol at the gathering, but that they did not attempt to break it up.Officials say 19-year-old Robert Adams was killed when a group of teens arrived and began firing shots. Police say two other people were wounded, but are expected to be OK. The victim's sister, Angela Jermon, says witnesses have been reluctant to come forward with information about the shooting. She says she has heard it was gang-related and that is why no one wants to talk.
