A fire tore through a Levittown home Friday and left one person hospitalized, according to officials.

The blaze began just before 1:30 p.m. on Farmedge Road. Around 40 firefighters spent approximately 20 minutes getting the flames under control.

Officials say the home was heavily damaged. The cause remains under investigation.
