<p>A Central Islip man has been charged with driving while intoxicated, after police say he drove his truck into an Oakdale Canal.</p>

Central Islip man arrested for DWI after crashing into Oakdale canal
A Central Islip man has been charged with driving while intoxicated, after police say he drove his truck into an Oakdale Canal.
Police say Christian Ayala-Garcia tried to drive across a footbridge on Miami Road around midnight Sunday  when he wound up in the canal.
News 12 is told he then ran from the crash site, but was arrested on Idle Hour Boulevard a short time later.
No one was hurt.
