Central Islip firefighters provide students with fire safety tips

The firefighters showed up in full gear at Morrow Elementary School and taught the students and staff how to safely exit a burning building and the importance of smoke alarms.

Volunteers from the Central Islip fire department on Monday provided students with tips on how to prepare in case of an emergency.
The firefighters showed up in full gear at Morrow Elementary School and taught the students and staff how to safely exit a burning building and the importance of smoke alarms.
The kids also learned about the role of firefighters in the community and received a demonstration on how first responders put on their gear.
