New CDC guidelines out this morning say people with certain health conditions that make them immunocompromised may need another booster COVID-19 shot.
Those people can get that fourth shot at least six months after getting their third shot.
As News 12 has reported, the CDC authorized a third dose for immunocompromised people 18 and older in August.
A study from Johns Hopkins University this summer showed vaccinated immunocompromised people were 485 times more likely to end up in the hospital or die from COVID-19. That is compared to most vaccinated people.
