Officials say the highest number of children have died from the flu in 15 years.

The CDC says 280 children died from the flu last year. That is the most since the H1N1 pandemic of 2009 and 2010.

The agency says more than half of those children had an underlying medical condition.

At least 66% were not fully vaccinated.

Federal and state health officials are urging anyone six months and older to get the flu shot.
