A cat that went missing 10 years ago will soon be reunited with her family.
Mimi was reported missing a decade ago by an East Setauket family.
The Prices tell News 12 they spent a year putting up flyers hoping to bring their feline friend home but nobody was able to find her.
Mimi recently turned up in a Miller Place backyard and the homeowner took her to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
That's when a scan for a chip revealed Mimi was the Prices' cat that went missing 10 years ago.
"We gave up on hope that we would find her but I always knew she was going to be a survivor," said Richard Price. "If there's a cat that's going to do it - it's going to be her. So when we found out she was alive, that was absolutely amazing."
Richard Price and his family moved to Spain in 2015.
They will be returning to Long Island in January to pick up Mimi and bring her home.
