A car was stolen in Plainview with the victim still inside. Detectives report that police were called to the French Workshop on South Oyster Bay Road last Saturday around 9 p.m. A 48-year-old woman sleeping in the back of an Audi while her 48-year-old husband and another man allegedly left the car and entered the bakery. The woman informed police that she woke up when the car suddenly braked, and an unknown man was driving. Upon noticing the victim in the back, he displayed a knife and demanded she exit, which she did. Thankfully, the victim was not injured.
