Electric car owners made their way down the Long Island Expressway Wednesday to celebrate the registration of 50,000 electric vehicles on Long Island.

Drivers began the parade at the Tesla Supercharger located at the Melville Marriott Hotel.

They showed off their vehicles and ended the celebration at the Long Island Welcome Center in Dix Hills.
