Police are looking for the gunman who shot a cab driver sitting in his vehicle at the Long Island Rail Road station in Hempstead Thursday.
According to detectives, a gray Toyota Corolla pulled up alongside the cab after 1 a.m. The male driver fired at least one round into the cab and hit the victim in the jaw. Police say the suspect then fled.
The victim was taken to Winthrop University Hospital and is in serious, but stable condition.
